Our Commitment to the Cycling Community

Near-term Initiatives
Coalition4Cyclists is a nonprofit organization focused on near-term and long-term programs that make cycling safer in Boulder County. In the near-term, we collaborate with various stakeholders in the cycling community, including the County Sheriff, Fire Departments, Boulder Valley School District, and over 80 cycling clubs and bike shops in the county.
Our immediate efforts support safe cycling education programs, improved road signage, electric safety billboards, and essential facilities like porta-potties. This small gesture takes a line-item off of a small community’s budget, and establishes a relationship between cyclists and locals such as Gold Hill, Jamestown, Raymond, Hygiene, and many other rural locations.

Long-term Vision
For the long term, we partner with the County Department of Transportation to raise matching funds for federal grant programs like Safe Streets 4 All. This collaboration enables us to build large infrastructure projects such as those on Hwy 119 and Hwy 36.
These significant projects require years of planning, designing, and construction to meet the high building standards outlined in the County's Master Transportation Plan, ensuring lasting safety improvements for the community.
Our Unique Approach
What sets Coalition4Cyclists apart is our distinctive method of engagement. We are the only local advocacy group that actively raises match funding and community support for grant proposals with the Boulder County. This unique approach allows us to secure essential funding and implement impactful projects that are otherwise out of reach.
